Partner of the Month: Residing Hope

By: Mark Cobia

Residing Hope, formerly known as the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home, has long had investments through the Florida United Methodist Foundation. The Foundation has also been an important funding partner over the years through many Residing Hope capital campaigns. Through this shared partnership, the Foundation is considered a valued partner, in part by providing critical support and expertise to the Finance and Development teams at Residing Hope.

“We collaborate and partner with the Foundation utilizing the same planned giving platforms. This allows for better support for our shared roles and provides valuable resources to our stakeholders. In particular, we have been truly blessed through the Foundation’s partnership with our planned giving program by providing regular support for Charitable Gift Annuities,” says Elisabeth Gadd, Chief Development Officer for Residing Hope.

The Foundation offices in Lakeland has also served as a host site for the Residing Hope ministry. In fact, the Foundation’s beautiful office space overlooking the lake in 2022 afforded the Residing Hope rebrand committee of the Board of Trustees and key staff to formally launch this important journey.

Residing Hope looks forward to a continued and greater partnership with the Foundation in years to come.
