Foundation Welcomes New Board Leadership Officers

By: FUMF

The Florida United Methodist Foundation is pleased to announce exciting updates to the leadership of our Board of Directors, reflecting the strength and diversity of experience across our organization.

Bruce Ford has begun his tenure as Chair of the Board. A registered architect in the State of Florida with NCARB certification, Bruce is a member of the American Institute of Architects and serves as Vice President of WHA Design, an architectural firm based in the Miami area. He holds a Master of Arts in Architecture from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Design in Architectural Studies from Florida International University. Deeply committed to his local church, Bruce is an active member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Cutler Bay, where he has served as chair of the trustees and participated on the finance and staff-parish relations committees. He also serves on the Florida Conference Board of Trustees.

Kim Clarke steps into the role of Vice-Chair. A Certified Public Accountant with over 30 years of experience, Kim began her career with Price Waterhouse after moving to Florida from Alabama. She later served as the accountant for her family’s Tampa-based business. A dedicated member of Hyde Park United Methodist Church, Kim has brought her financial expertise to the church’s Finance, Endowment, and Staff Parish committees.

James Previte joins the Board’s leadership team as Chair of the Investment Committee. James is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and a candidate for the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential. He serves as Director of Litigation Support Services and Managing Partner at Hamic Previte & Sturwold, P.A., bringing valuable financial insight and leadership to the Foundation’s investment strategy.  James and his family are members of First United Methodist Church – Lakeland and are also involved in the work of their sister church, Shepherd’s Community UMC.

We are grateful for the commitment and expertise these leaders bring as we continue our mission of supporting and empowering Christian ministry across Florida.
