First United Methodist Church New Port Richey begins 2025 with hearts brimming with gratitude and excitement for the opportunities that lie ahead. Reflecting on the past year, we celebrate the many ways God has blessed our church and community. Our ministries have been vibrant and impactful, with groups like the United Methodist Women, United Methodist Men, and our Craft and Food Ministries demonstrating God’s love through meaningful outreach and service. The Education Department has also flourished, with a successful Vacation Bible School, engaging fundraisers, and a growing number of children participating in worship. Looking forward, we are thrilled to announce plans to hire a Children’s Ministry Director. This new role will serve children from pre-K through middle school, guiding them in worship, teaching them foundational truths, and helping nurture their relationships with Christ. We ask for your prayers as we seek the right person to lead this vital ministry, shaping the faith and character of our youngest members.
We are especially grateful for the generous trust dedicated to maintaining our church building—a testament to the enduring faith and support of our community. This extraordinary gift allows us to ensure that our church remains a welcoming and well-maintained sanctuary for future generations. Through strategic investments, we aim to create a sustainable, long-term fund to support essential maintenance and improvements, enhancing our ability to serve and worship together. All our work is grounded in the mission of FUMC New Port Richey: “To make disciples of Jesus Christ and transform the world.” Whether caring for one another, embracing new members, or serving our neighbors, we are committed to living as disciples of Christ. Each gathering, whether in worship or fellowship, prepares us to be His hands and feet, carrying His love into the world.
