The Florida United Methodist Foundation has once again earned certification from the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence (CEFEX), marking our eighth consecutive year of certification.
Since first earning CEFEX certification in 2019, the Foundation has undergone an independent annual assessment of the fiduciary practices surrounding our investment and charitable gift annuity funds.
For us, this recognition is about more than maintaining a certification. It is about the trust churches, ministries and individuals place in the Foundation every day.
CEFEX certification provides independent affirmation that the processes we use to steward the resources entrusted to us meet rigorous standards for fiduciary responsibility. Those standards encompass areas including investment oversight, risk management, transparency, governance and accountability.
“Our ministry partners entrust us with resources that represent years of generosity, faithful stewardship and hopes for future ministry,” said Rev. Ed New, President and CEO. “We never take that responsibility lightly. Eight consecutive years of CEFEX certification provides an important independent affirmation of our commitment to serve as careful and faithful stewards of those resources.”
As we celebrate this milestone, we remain grateful for the confidence placed in the Foundation and committed to putting faithful stewardship into action as we support and empower the growth of Christian ministry.
