Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)
I feel most fortunate to serve God in United Methodist Church, a body of Christ with such a variety of services and opportunities available to further the course of Christ. In particular, I am truly grateful to be able to access the services of United Methodist Foundation.
Too often, we take faithful stewardship of our church agencies and staff for granted. When I learned how Florida United Methodist Foundation operates, I decided to be part of that operation. Why? Simple, they invest in things and projects that promote the faith I profess. So, when I save with them, my money becomes my evangelist while I earn a decent interest, way better than commercial banks offer. Secondly, I know my money will not be invested in projects or things that betray my faith. Things that destroy the kingdom of God, instead of enhancing it! I have encouraged all the churches where I have served to save with the Florida United Methodist Church Foundation, and I am happy I did.
I want to take this opportunity to let you know how much I appreciate the administration of the Foundation and staff for all you do to help spread the Gospel through faithful Stewardship of God’s people’s resources. I want to thank you for your willingness to serve our church in such an important way with a combination of knowledge, skill, and compassion.
May God richly bless you and use you as one of His tools in spreading the Good News of the Gospel and fostering the image of our beloved Church in the world. Let the world of money be our parish as well. Amen.
Blessings in Christ,
Rev. Dr. Silas M’Mworia
